Fun Time Internet wins big at Pilot Week for “The Goldman Identity”

Adam Christie stars as Theodore Goldman in "The Goldman Identity"

On Sunday night the boys from Fun Time Internet beat out the competition to take the top prize at Comedy Bar and Insight Productions’ 2nd annual Pilot Week for their action comedy The Goldman Identity. As a reward for their sharp script and zany humour, Geoff Webster, Dave Hodgson and Jeremy Mersereau were brought to the stage and presented with a novelty cheque for $1000 by a princess and a giant penis. Their staged read – featuring comedians Adam Christie, Tim Gilbert, John Hastings and Chris Locke – won over the audience and judges and earned them the “opportunity to enter into a development deal” with Insight.

I had the pleasure of covering this event for Torontoist. Read my full report – including interviews with Fun Time Internet and guest judge Mike Reiss, the legendary Simpsons writer – here.
